The Community Church offers a variety of activities for youth. From the ages of 11 onwards there are groups that meet midweek as well as groups that meet alongside the adult programme on a Sunday morning.
Sunday Morning Youth (SMY)
SMY is for anyone aged 11-18. We follow the same material as the children and adults each week looking into what it means to have 'faith' in life today. Sessions include discussion, Bible readings/questions, games, activities and a chance for questions to be asked. We try to ensure each session is structured but flexible and chilled.
Tuesday Nights @ St Matthews School
We run a club on Tuesdays at St Matthews School in Surbiton.
Rock Solid a club for 10-13's, running from 6.15-7.30pm.
Each week at Rock Solid we look at a topic that is relevant to the young people's day to day lives. We play games, chat, chill and eat (!) and consider how the theme affects us.
There is no charge - however - there is a tuck shop so bring money for Tuck!
Also we do various socials throughout the year (e.g. bowling, laser quest, movie nights, wii nights, wet and messy nights etc) some of which will have a cost. Letters will go out in advance of these so parents/carers know what is happening.
Other Youth Activities
Other groups for young people are run on various evenings during the week. For up to date information contact Jenni, the Youth and Childrens worker, on 07878 752626 or the church office on 020 8391 1100.
Specials!
Each year we do many different extra activities including weekends away, trips to Soul Survivor (summer celebration week and Soul Survivor Saturday Celebrations), Sleep Easy, Engage (with other youth groups in RBK), social evenings and much more!! Get in touch for more information!
